Simultaneously Engineering the Synergistic-Effects and Coordination-Environment of Dual-Single-Atomic Iron/Cobalt-sites as a Bifunctional Oxygen Electrocatalyst for Rechargeable Zinc-Air Batteries

Ghulam Yasin et al.

Summary: This study develops an atomic-interfacial-regulation approach to fabricate dual single Fe/Co atoms synchronized with both nitrogen/sulfur atoms on defective/graphitic/porous carbon nanosheets. The combination of Fe/Co bridged atomic-sites with N and S coordination promotes charge transfer, lowering the energy barrier of oxygenated reaction-intermediates and improving the reaction kinetics. The Fe,Co/DSA-NSC exhibits improved ORR/OER activity with higher half-wave potential and lower overpotential, and also shows good cycling stability towards zinc-air batteries.

Benchmarking the charge storage mechanism in nickel cobalt sulfide nanosheets anchored on carbon nanocoils/carbon nanotubes nano-hybrid for high performance supercapacitor electrode

Khan Abdul Sammed et al.

Summary: In order to improve the capacity of electrodes for energy storage devices, a promising architecture with enhanced electrochemical performance is required.
