Transition Metal Phosphide Nanoarchitectonics for Versatile Organic Catalysis

However, the application of TMP in organic catalysis is still facing complex challenges. This review provides a comprehensive analysis of recent advancements in synthetic strategies for tailoring the properties of TMP and summarizes their catalytic potential in organic transformation reactions.

Surface Nanoarchitectonics of Boron Nitride Nanosheets for Highly Efficient and Sustainable ipso-Hydroxylation of Arylboronic Acids

Summary: A metal-free methodology using boron nitride (BN) nano-sheets functionalized with hydroxyl groups (BN-OH) has been developed for the synthesis of phenols from arylboronic acids. The hydroxyl groups on the BN nanosheets serve as active sites for the hydroxylation reaction. The optimized reaction parameters and the use of water as solvent contribute to high catalytic efficiency and eliminate the need for toxic solvents.

Core-shell assembly of ZrO2 nanoparticles with ionic liquid: a novel and highly efficient heterogeneous catalysts for Biginelli and esterification reactions

Summary: Imidazolium sulfonic acid chloride grafted ZrO2 nanoparticles (ZrO2-IL) with an orthorhombic structure and uniform mesoporous surface were synthesized. The ZrO2-IL catalyst exhibited excellent catalytic performance in acid-catalyzed esterification and Biginelli reaction, with high yield and conversion. The synergy between the ionic liquid catalyst and the substrates was found to enhance catalytic efficiency.
