Childhood Sexual Abuse and Exposure to Peer Bullying Victimization

Reeve S. Kennedy et al.

Summary: Females exposed to child sexual abuse (CSA) are at an increased risk of experiencing bullying victimization, specifically cyberbullying and combined cyber/in-person bullying, as well as bullying about their appearance and dating relationships. These findings indicate that bullying prevention needs to include trauma-focused components to target these uniquely vulnerable females.

Cyberbullying and its relationship with physical, verbal, and relational bullying: a structural equation modelling approach

Stefan Johansson et al.

Summary: The study examines the relationship between cyberbullying and physical, verbal, and relational bullying, finding high correlations between them. It notes a stronger relation between anxiety levels and cyberbullying, while the number of friends is similarly related to all four bullying factors. Discussions were held on the implications of the high relation between cyber and relational bullying, as well as their similar association with the covariates.
