Sequence Analysis of the Complete Mitochondrial Genome of a Medicinal Plant, Vitex rotundifolia Linnaeus f. (Lamiales: Lamiaceae)

Comparative analysis revealed the presence of homologous sequences in the mitochondrial genomes of related species. Additionally, a multipartite structure mediated by homologous recombination was observed in the V. rotundifolia mitochondrial genome. Phylogenetic analysis provided insights into the evolutionary relationship of V. rotundifolia with other species in the Lamiales order.
