Pyrenodesmia albopustulata and P. microstepposa in family Teloschistaceae are reported as new records for South Asia. Previously the former has been reported from Western Asia and Europe and the latter has been reported from Central Asia and Europe. The specimens were collected from different sites in district Chitral, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan and characterized using morpho-anatomical and molecular techniques. Complete morpho-anatomical descriptions along with ecology, distribution, and ITS-based molecular analysis are provided.
