Small molecular neutral Ir(III) complexes have been demonstrated to be promising self-inclusive microcrystalline thin-film oxygen sensors with relatively high sensitivity (K-sv = 6.41), good stability, and linear Stern-Volmer behavior (R-2 = 0.9979).
