Dynamic modeling and analysis of satellite detumbling using a brush type contactor based on flexible multibody dynamics

Second-order approximation pseudo-rigid model of circular arc flexure hinge

Summary: This paper presents a novel pseudo-rigid model for describing the elasto-kinematic behavior of circular arc flexure hinges under a pure moment. The proposed model, based on kinematic study and second-order motion invariants, accurately describes the relative motion between the connected bodies. The model has been compared with analytical formulas and finite element models, showing good accordance even for large deflections.

Summary: This systematic review aimed to evaluate the efficacy of different toothbrush bristle stiffness and end-shape on interproximal plaque and gingival inflammation reduction. Results showed that soft tapered-tip bristle toothbrushes demonstrated greater reduction in plaque and gingivitis compared to soft end-rounded bristle toothbrushes. Additionally, medium or hard toothbrushes may have better results in noninterproximal cleaners.
