High-Efficiency Carbon-based CsPbI2Br Perovskite Solar Cells from Dual Direction Thermal Diffusion Treatment with Cadmium Halides

Xiaosong Qiu et al.

Summary: Carbon-based CsPbI2Br perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have gained attention for their cost-effectiveness and stability. However, their power conversion efficiency (PCE) is limited due to defects in CsPbI2Br and at the interface with the electron transport layer (ETL), as well as energy level mismatch. Introducing cadmium halides for thermal diffusion treatment improves the device performance, increasing PCE from 13.01% to 14.47%, 14.31%, and 13.46%, respectively.

Pre-Buried Additive for Cross-Layer Modification in Flexible Perovskite Solar Cells with Efficiency Exceeding 22%

Zhonghao Zheng et al.

Summary: Halide perovskites have shown great potential in flexible photovoltaics. However, the performance of flexible perovskite solar cells (F-PSCs) has been limited by interfacial stress and lattice mismatch caused by the deformation of flexible substrates. This study uses ammonium formate as an additive in the electron transport layer to modify the layers and their interface, resulting in improved electron extraction, relaxed strain, and reduced defect densities. As a result, the highest power conversion efficiency reported so far is achieved for F-PSCs.
