A Credibility and Strategic Behavior Approach in Hesitant Multiple Criteria Decision-Making With Application to Sustainable Transportation

We demonstrate the significance of strategic incentives in MCDM techniques by extending a real-life study case and illustrating the interactions between reporting strategies and counteracting tools for DMs.

The use of Internet of Things (IoT) technology in smart waste collection systems plays an important role in municipal waste management, considering sustainability aspects. This research evaluates IoT-based smart waste collection systems using modified entropy measure and multi-criteria decision making method for the local government in Istanbul. Interval-valued q-rung orthopair fuzzy sets is employed to handle uncertainty and vagueness in the decision-making process. The study concludes that the waste collection system utilizing RFID, GIS, and GPRS is the most appropriate smart waste collection system for the municipality based on IoT.
