Situs Inversus Totalis: A Clinical Review

Katalin Eitler et al.

Summary: Situs inversus totalis is a rare congenital abnormality that causes a mirror-image transposition of the abdominal and thoracic organs. It is caused by a failure in laterality during early development. The frequency of situs inversus is 1:10,000 and is more common in males. Advanced imaging techniques are needed to assess anatomical details, and surgical solutions require flexibility and creativity.
