Can information influence meat consumption behaviour? An experimental field study in the university canteen

Nina Weingarten et al.

Summary: The study found that the direct impact of health and environmental information on reducing meat consumption behavior is limited, but it has some influence on the attitudes of individuals with low subjective knowledge. The results suggest that more research is needed to assess the effectiveness of information provision as an intervention, including a direct measure of meat consumption behavior.

Impact of sustainability and nutritional messaging on Italian consumers' purchase intent of cereal bars made with brewery spent grains

Alina Stelick et al.

Summary: This study focuses on the reuse of brewery spent grains (BSGs) and shows how providing information on product nutrition and sustainability can increase purchase intent for a cereal bar containing upcycled ingredients. Consumers perceived the BSG product as more natural compared to the control, and sustainability information had a greater impact on purchase intent than nutrition information.
