Solution-processable and photocurable aromatic polyurea gate dielectrics for high-performance organic thin-film transistors

Sungmi Yoo et al.

Summary: A solution-processable and photocurable polyurea (PU) with excellent electrical and dielectric properties is synthesized and applied as a gate dielectric in high-performance organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs). The photo-crosslinked PU film improves dielectric properties and thermal and chemical resistance compared with pristine PU films. The performance of the c-PU thin film as a gate dielectric is demonstrated in DNTT-based and diketopyrrolopyrrole-thienothiophene copolymer-based OTFTs.

A simple method for the photometric characterization of organic light-emitting diodes

Pasquale Cusumano et al.

Summary: This article presents a simple method for the photometric characterization of organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). By indirectly measuring the total emitted optical power and using the optical emission spectrum and space emission diagram of the OLED, coupled with measuring the current-voltage characteristic of the OLED, all relevant radiometric and photometric quantities can be extracted, including the external quantum efficiency. The article also discovers that a large area photodiode placed in contact with the OLED surface can measure about 82% of the total emitted power.

Reorganization Energy upon Controlled Intermolecular Charge-Transfer Reactions in Monolithically Integrated Nanodevices

Leandro Merces et al.

Summary: Intermolecular electron-transfer reactions are essential processes in physics, chemistry, and biology, with rates depending on system reorganization energy. Self-rolling nanomembranes with strain-engineered properties have enabled measurement of CuPc reorganization energy. This experimental strategy provides a consistent route towards determining reorganization energy in monolithically integrated electrochemical nanodevices.
