Summary: Based on the NHAMCS report from 2010 to 2017, it was found that approximately 21.0% of ED visits in the United States were seen by PA/NP, with 8.6% being seen by PA/NP alone. There was an increase in NP visits from 2014 to 2016, and PAs/NPs in the ED share many similar practice characteristics.
