Summary: This study presents a report on the preparation of plasticized polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) based polymer electrolytes using solution cast technique and their characterization using various electrochemical techniques. The EIS, LSV, and TNM techniques were utilized to determine conductivity, decomposition voltage, and ion transference number, while CV and charge-discharging measurements assessed the charge storage process and device performance. The influence of plasticization on electrochemical properties was investigated, with TNM measurements revealing high ionic transference numbers for glycerol content in the polymer electrolytes.
