Simulation-based multi-objective optimization for enhanced safety of fire emergency response in metro stations

Qiong Liu et al.

Summary: This study establishes a multi-objective optimization model for fire emergency response in metro stations using simulation-based analysis. It constructs a Hierarchical Timed Color Petri Nets model and adopts the Skyline operator to solve the MOO problem. The study demonstrates the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed approach through a case study conducted at a metro station in Wuhan.

Spatial Optimization of Mega-City Fire Stations Based on Multi-Source Geospatial Data: A Case Study in Beijing

Wenda Wang et al.

Summary: The study analyzed the actual coverage of fire stations in central Beijing under different traffic situations using points of interest data and multi-time traffic situation data. A method for optimizing the spatial distribution of fire stations was proposed, evaluating fire risks and constructing a multi-scenario road network. The research results suggest the need for 15 additional fire stations to provide sufficient coverage in high fire risk areas of Beijing.
