Stability of thermoelastic Timoshenko beam with suspenders and time-varying feedback

Soh Edwin Mukiawa et al.

Summary: This paper examines a one-dimensional thermoelastic Timoshenko beam system, which includes suspenders, general weak internal damping with time-varying coefficient, and time-varying delay terms. By establishing suitable conditions on the nonlinear terms, a general stability result for the beam model is proven, with exponential and polynomial decay being specific cases. Additionally, several examples are provided to illustrate the theoretical findings.

Timoshenko systems with Cattaneo law and partial Kelvin-Voigt damping: well-posedness and stability

Cyril Dennis Enyi

Summary: This work investigates thermoelastic Timoshenko beam systems with full and partial Kelvin-Voigt damping and heat conduction governed by the Cattaneo law. The existence and uniqueness of weak global solution are established using the semi-group method, and exponential stability results are proved using the multiplier method. Interestingly, this work does not require any stability number or equal wave speed propagation condition for the stability result.

ON THE STABILITY OF A VISCOELASTIC TIMOSHENKO SYSTEM WITH MAXWELL-CATTANEO HEAT CONDUCTION

Soh Edwin Mukiawa

Summary: This paper discusses a thermoelastic Timoshenko system with viscoelastic and thermal damping, and establishes a decay estimate for the solution energy. The obtained result shows that the damping is strong enough to stabilize the system without additional restrictions.
