High-Spatial-Resolution 3D Whole-Heart MRI T2 Mapping for Assessment of Myocarditis

Aurelien Bustin et al.

Summary: This study assessed the reproducibility of an accelerated free-breathing three-dimensional whole-heart T2 MRI mapping sequence in participants without a history of cardiac disease and those with suspected myocarditis. The results showed high intrasession and intersession reproducibility of the 3D T2 mapping, which may have potential clinical applications for the diagnosis of suspected myocarditis.

Respiratory Motion-Registered Isotropic Whole-Heart T2 Mapping in Patients With Acute Non-ischemic Myocardial Injury

Karolina Dorniak et al.

Summary: This study introduces a method to improve the precision of 3D T-2 mapping at 1.5T and tested it in a diverse patient cohort. The results showed significantly higher T-2 values in patients compared to controls with the 3D technique, indicating greater sensitivity.

Fat-suppressed T2 mapping of human knee femoral articular cartilage: comparison with conventional T2 mapping

Bo Ram Kim et al.

Summary: This study compared the differences between FS T2 and conventional T2 mapping in femoral articular cartilage, finding that the T2 values were significantly lower in FS T2 mapping. Additionally, FS T2 mapping showed higher reproducibility in evaluating knee femoral cartilage compared to conventional T2 mapping.

The QIBA Profile for MRI-based Compositional Imaging of Knee Cartilage

Majid Chalian et al.

Summary: MRI-based cartilage compositional analysis allows early detection of biochemical and microstructural changes in osteoarthritis before visible changes occur. While T2 mapping is currently the only commercially available technique, the Quantitative Imaging Biomarkers Alliance (QIBA) Profile aims to improve reproducibility and standardize cartilage compositional imaging.
