Theoretical and Experimental Analysis of Engine Performance and Emissions Fuelled with Jojoba Biodiesel

A. G. M. B. Mustayen et al.

Summary: The thermodynamic model developed in this study predicts the engine performance of diesel and jojoba biodiesel. The simulation results agreed with experimental data for various fuels and operating conditions. Jojoba biodiesel showed reduced emissions of CO and HC compared to diesel fuel, but increased NOx emissions. The study suggests that biodiesel could serve as a substitute for diesel in power generation sectors.

Modeling of Tractor Fuel Consumption

Bronislaw Andrzej Kolator

Summary: This study evaluates tractor performance by establishing a model of the machine unit process, analyzing energy consumption and productivity, and testing performance through simulation in Matlab/Simulink. Efficiency indicators are calculated based on technical parameters, soil properties, and tool characteristics, with results showing consistency with experimental data under appropriate conditions.

Simulation of Fuel Consumption Based on Engine Load Level of a 95 kW Partial Power-Shift Transmission Tractor

Md. Abu Ayub Siddique et al.

Summary: This study focused on estimating fuel consumption of a power-shift transmission (PST) tractor through PTO dynamometer tests and developing a simulation model for comparison. Statistical analysis confirmed a direct proportionality between engine load and fuel consumption, with no significant differences between simulated and measured results at each load level.
