This article presents the first case of postpartum septic arthritis of the pubic symphysis caused by Sneathia sanguinegens, Sneathia vaginalis, and Mageeibacillus indolicus, identified using next generation sequencing.
Sneathia sanguinegens, Sneathia vaginalis, and Mageeibacillus indolicus have been recently described in the female genital tract. We present the first case of a postpartum septic arthritis of the pubic symphysis due to these organisms, identified by next generation sequencing. (c) 2023 The Authors. Published by Elsevier Ltd.
