Farmers in Uganda mainly rely on synthetic insecticides, but parasitoids could be a potential alternative. A study identified 13 parasitoid species attacking fall armyworm in Uganda, with two wasp genera being the most abundant and widely distributed. The parasitoids contributed to an average 9.2% fall armyworm larval mortality rate and show promise for integrated pest management in Uganda.
