Contribution of non-timber forest products to the livelihoods of the forest-dependent communities around the Khadimnagar National Park in northeastern Bangladesh

Md. Habibur Rahman et al.

Summary: The study found that forest-dependent communities around KNP heavily rely on NTFPs for domestic energy supply, income, and construction. Income from NTFPs significantly contributes to family income, with small-scale businessmen earning the highest income from NTFPs. Distance from the forest negatively impacts the amount of NTFPs collected and income earned, while households highly dependent on NTFPs collect larger quantities per trip.
