Measuring College Belongingness: Structure and Measurement of the Sense of Social Fit Scale

Exploring Relationships Between Grit, Belonging, Institutional Compassion, Pandemic Stress, and Goal Progress Among Emerging Adult Post-Secondary Students

Summary: This study examines the influence of grit, belonging, and institutional compassion on emerging adults' academic goal pursuits amid COVID-19 challenges. The findings suggest that pandemic-related stress is unrelated to students' assessments of their academic progress, but it is negatively associated with belonging and grit. Higher levels of institutional compassion are associated with greater belonging and lower pandemic-related stress.
