Summary: This study aimed to investigate the compensation ability of the knee joint inclination after medial opening wedge high tibial osteotomy (MOWHTO). The results showed that the postoperative knee-ankle joint line angle (KAJA) significantly contributed to the knee joint line obliquity (KJLO), and the incidence rate of high-grade KJLO increased when the postoperative KAJA exceeded 9.6 degrees.
