When company decisions harm or help the environment: the influence of social context and affective state on moral and causal responsibility attributions

This study examined young participants' attributions of causal and moral responsibility to a company's manager and their subordinate employee, finding that negative side effects led to more blame on the manager, while positive side effects led to more praise for the employee.
