Results showed that employees with this orientation had high-quality interpersonal relationships and exhibited high levels of creativity. Work harder and smarter: The critical role of teachers' job crafting in promoting teaching for creativity

Summary: This study examined the mediating role of teachers' job crafting in the relationship between their satisfaction of basic psychological needs and self-reported performance in teaching for creativity. The findings indicate that teachers' basic need satisfaction indirectly influences self-reported teaching for creativity through their behavior of increasing structural job resources, optimizing demands, and decreasing demands. Additionally, the study reveals that increasing challenging job demands is only related to product-oriented teaching for creativity, while increasing social job resources is not linked to either product-oriented or process-oriented teaching for creativity.
