The brand persona of a football manager - the case of Arsene Wenger

Summary: Sport is a significant economic activity, and understanding the roles of teams and managers is crucial. This research investigates the brand persona of a football manager, focusing on Arsene Wenger. Qualitative methods were used to explore brand-building activities surrounding Wenger's words over a three-year period. The study identified three dimensions of Wenger's brand persona related to his managerial role, personal characteristics, and the football context.

When sponsorship causes anger: understanding negative fan reactions to postings on sports clubs' online social media channels

Sports managers and sponsors should be aware of the potential negative shift in reactions when using clubs' social media channels to share sponsor-related content.

Consumer behaviour toward a new league and teams: television audiences as a measure of market acceptance

Summary: Many studies on new sports teams have focused only on season ticket holders, but this study addresses this limitation by observing the general population's viewing behavior towards new local teams. By analyzing television ratings data of an Australian cricket league, it was found that each local market has an immediate preference for their local team, but this preference does not grow over time compared to non-local teams. This suggests that the novelty phase of the league is coming to an end.

Exploring the Experiences and Well-Being of Australian Rio Olympians During the Post-Olympic Phase: A Qualitative Study
