Philosophical foundations of mixed methods research

Summary: This paper critically reviews the debate over the philosophical foundations of mixed methods research, distinguishing between different theoretical orientations and presenting three different meanings of philosophical foundations. The weak sense of philosophical foundations allows for the integration of quantitative and qualitative methods, the moderate sense provides good reasons for using mixed methods, and the strong sense advocates for encouraging mixed methods in social scientific research.

Healthy Mothers Healthy Families, Health Promoting Activity Coaching for mothers of children with a disability: Exploring mothers' perspectives of programme feasibility

The results showed that mothers increased their participation in health-promoting activities during the programme, leading to improvements in mood, energy levels, and engagement in leisure activities with their children. Mothers found the programme's content and delivery acceptable and viable.
