Nineteen strains of Bacillus licheniformis and four strains of the closely related species Bacillus paralicheniformis were obtained from various Irish medium-heat skim milk powders. The draft genome sequences of these 23 isolates offer valuable genetic information for research on dairy products and process development. These isolates are available at Teagasc.
