Chemical Characterization of Plant Extracts and Evaluation of their Nematicidal and Phytotoxic Potential

Summary: This study evaluated the nematicidal and phytotoxic activities of seven plant extracts against Nacobbus aberrans and Solanum lycopersicum, identifying Adenophyllum aurantium, Alloispermum integrifolium, and Tournefortia densiflora as extracts with the best nematicidal potential. The chemical nature of three nematicidal extracts was studied through NMR analysis, revealing the presence of various compounds such as stigmasterol, beta-sitosterol, and alpha-terthienyl. These results suggest that these plant extracts may provide alternative sources of botanical nematicides.
