The role of socio-economic factors in China's CO2 emissions from production activities

Boqiang Lin et al.

Summary: The study found that in recent years, R&D efficiency and energy intensity were the main factors contributing to the reduction of CO2 emissions, with the rise in urban employment proportion also aiding in emission reduction. However, labor productivity growth, investment intensity increase, and urbanization level improvement all had positive impacts on the growth of CO2 emissions.
