A Randomized Clinical Trial of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and the Duluth Model Classes for Men Court-Mandated to a Domestic Violence Program

Summary: This study compares the effectiveness of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and the Duluth Model curriculum in treating domestic violence among men. The results show that ACT participants had fewer violent and nonviolent criminal charges compared to Duluth participants. Victim reports also indicated that ACT participants engaged in fewer intimate partner violence behaviors.
