Summary: The introduction of a P-graph-inspired tool, P-HENS, in an undergraduate chemical engineering degree program in Malaysia is valuable for students to identify overlooked heat exchanger networks structures and enable a more in-depth analysis. The implementation of P-HENS shows positive outcomes and complements the learning of conventional manual approaches used in HENs synthesis.
