Investigating the influence of synthesis route on the crystallinity and rate capability of niobium pentoxide for energy storage

Evangeline C. Wheeler-Jones et al.

Summary: Orthorhombic niobium pentoxide (T-Nb2O5) is an effective anode material for Li-ion batteries with high rate capability. A simple hydrothermal mechanism is used to produce anisotropically crystalline materials, showing good cycling stability and capacity retention at high current flux. This research provides important insights into the development of high rate anode materials.

Summary: The methodology presented in this work is a result of interactions between junior and senior XPS users within the CasaXPS framework, particularly through workshops organized by IMN. The discussions from these workshops have been instrumental in developing the XPS data processing concept and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration in surface analysis problem-solving. This methodology has evolved over subsequent workshops and now represents the philosophy used in CasaXPS spectral data processing paradigm.
