Facile Synthesis of a Cubic Porphyrin-Based Covalent Organic Framework for Combined Breast Cancer Therapy

Sainan Liu et al.

Summary: In this research, a cubic porphyrin-based COF named CTP with excellent hydrophilicity was prepared for the first time using a simple method. By linking the porphyrin monomer into the COF, solubility and biocompatibility issues were overcome, and the band gap was narrowed. The resulting CTP showed enhanced sonodynamic effect and photothermal conversion under external irradiation.

Flexible Transparent Polypyrrole-Decorated MXene-Based Film with Excellent Photothermal Energy Conversion Performance

Daozheng Yang et al.

Summary: Flexible transparent heaters based on photothermal energy conversion are in high demand for next-generation electronic devices, but balancing photothermal efficiency and transparency remains a challenge. A flexible polycarbonate film with balanced photothermal energy conversion performance and transparency was demonstrated in this work, achieved by spraying PPy-modified Ti3C2Tx MXene. The resulting transparent film heater (MP-PC) showed satisfactory photo-thermal conversion performance and effective transmittance, making it suitable for applications such as light-triggered thermal therapy for human skin in cold environments.

Chemically Exfoliated Semiconducting Bimetallic Porphyrinylphosphonate Metal-Organic Layers for Photocatalytic CO2 Reduction under Visible Light

Ming-Feng Qin et al.

Summary: This paper presents the first example of a semiconducting porphyrinylphosphonate metal-organic framework and its chemical exfoliation into ultrathin metal-organic layers with high conductivity and efficient photocatalytic properties in reducing CO2 to CO. Spectroscopic studies suggest that the remarkable photocatalytic performance is a result of proper band alignment and great charge extraction capability of the cocatalyst, providing insights into catalyst design for coherent energy flow in hybrid photocatalytic systems.
