Nanocrystal-based 3D-printed tablets: Semi-solid extrusion using melting solidification printing process (MESO-PP) for oral administration of poorly soluble drugs

Lucia Lopez-Vidal et al.

Summary: This study is the first to report the inclusion of nanocrystals in 3D-printed tablets using the MESO-PP printing technique, which successfully incorporated ABZ nanocrystals in high concentrations. Physicochemical analyses showed no impact of the NCs on the ink's crystallinity and chemical properties, while also demonstrating improved drug dissolution rates in the printlets.

Highly stretchable white-light electroluminescent devices with gel-type silica-coated all-inorganic perovskite

Sang Yeop Lee et al.

Summary: In this study, a highly stretchable white-light electroluminescent device was fabricated using chemically designed perovskite nanocrystals. By investigating the chemical, optical, and structural properties of perovskite nanocrystals, the stability and dispersivity of the material were improved, resulting in enhanced and uniform luminescence properties in the polymer matrix. The research also proposed a stretchable electroluminescent device emitting strong white light close to the ideal white position in CIE with optical simulation.

Critical role of additive-induced molecular interaction on the operational stability of perovskite light-emitting diodes

Chaoyang Kuang et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates greatly improved operational stability of high-efficiency PeLEDs by incorporating dicarboxylic acids into the precursor for perovskite depositions. The stable amides formed through an in situ amidation process prevent detrimental reactions between the perovskites and the charge injection layer, ensuring excellent operational stability. By optimizing the amidation reaction in the perovskite emissive layers, efficient PeLEDs with a peak external quantum efficiency of 18.6% and a long half-life time of 682 h at 20 mA cm(-2) have been achieved, representing a significant breakthrough in PeLEDs.

3D Printing of Cellulose Nanocrystal-Loaded Hydrogels through Rapid Fixation by Photopolymerization

Doron Kam et al.

Summary: The new ink compositions for DIW printing of hydrogels exhibit superior rheological properties and enable rapid fixation through photopolymerization, allowing the fabrication of objects with high aspect ratios. The cellulose nanocrystals contribute to unique rheological behavior without compromising printability, and the compositions can be cured by low photoinitiator concentrations in a short build time, maintaining viability in bioinks.
