Summary: Ultrafine Ag nanoparticles with an average size of approximately 4.37 nm were decorated on the surface of pure silicon zeolite nanoparticles and confined in pore channels through an in-situ reduction strategy. The prepared Ag/PSZN nanocomposites showed ultrahigh catalytic activity for the reduction of 4-nitrophenol and methylene blue, surpassing previously reported Ag-based catalysts. The excellent catalytic performance was attributed to the large loading amount and ultrasmall size of Ag nanoparticles, providing abundant active sites.

Carbon defective g-C3N4 thin-wall tubes for drastic improvement of photocatalytic H2 production

The optimization of band structure and suppression of carrier recombination resulted in a significant improvement in H2 production efficiency under visible light. Summary: Synergistic modifications of the interior and surface can enhance the photocatalytic activity at the atomic level. A new 2D/2D SnNb2O6/Ni-doped ZnIn2S4 (SNO/Ni-ZIS) S-scheme heterojunction was synthesized and showed significantly improved PHE activity under visible light. Theoretical calculations revealed that the S-scheme heterojunction promotes the desorption of H atoms for rapid H2 evolution. This work provides advanced insight for developing high-performance S-scheme systems.

Improved and stable triazine-based covalent organic framework for lithium storage

Summary: In this study, a DCB triazine-based COF was synthesized using 1,4-DCB as a lithium-ion battery anode material. The lithium storage mechanism of the DCB-COF was investigated through various experiments and calculations. The results showed that the DCB-COF exhibited high storage capacity and cycling stability. This work provides an effective strategy for the fabrication of novel COF electrode materials.

Manganese-based hollow nanoplatforms for MR imaging-guided cancer therapies

Various Mn-based hollow nanoplatforms for MR imaging-guided cancer therapies are summarized, and potential obstacles and perspectives for translational applications are discussed.
