Bioinspired antireflective flexible films with optimized mechanical resistance fabricated by roll to roll thermal nanoimprint

Alejandra Jacobo-Martin et al.

Summary: This work describes the fabrication process of moth eye antireflective poly (methyl methacrylate) transparent films using roll-to-roll thermal nanoimprint lithography, adjusting process parameters to obtain a range of antireflective topographies. A correlation between process parameters and film properties is established, and a finite element model predicts the mechanical behavior of the imprinted nanostructures.

Improved thermal stability of antireflective moth-eye topography imprinted on PMMA/TiO2 surface nanocomposites

Alejandra Jacobo-Martin et al.

Summary: The thermal stability of antireflective moth-eye topographical features fabricated by nanoimprint lithography on PMMA incorporating TiO2 nanoparticles is greatly improved, delaying pattern relaxation and enhancing pattern stability even at high temperatures. This enhancement in thermal behavior will significantly improve the functionality and performance of the antireflective films, especially in light-trapping applications where temperatures typically rise.
