However, patient experience is crucial in oral health care, and there is a need to measure it. Self-Rated Oral Health and Associated Factors among an Adult Population in Rural India-An Epidemiological Study

Summary: The study involved 873 adults in rural areas of Karnataka state, India, with 15.2% reporting poor self-rated oral health. Factors associated with poor oral health included age, gender, socioeconomic status, dental caries experience, periodontal disease, and dental visit frequency. The findings suggest a dose-response relationship between dental caries experience and poor self-rated oral health.
