Root canal morphology and variations in mandibular second molars: an in vivo cone-beam computed tomography analysis

Summary: The study aimed to identify anatomical variations of mandibular second molars' root canal system using CBCT. Results showed a variety of root and root canal configurations, with two roots, three root canals, and two apical foramina being the most prevalent. Additionally, C-shaped root canal systems and extra roots were also observed.
