The Rhizome Essential Oil Composition of Zingiber officinale Roscoe. Core Collection from Northeast Indian Germplasm

Twahira Begum et al.

Summary: This study evaluated the essential oil constituents of 150 germplasm of ginger collected from Northeast India. Twenty-one chemical constituents were identified, with E-citral and Z-citral being the major constituents. This is the first report on the evaluation of such a large number of ginger germplasm for essential oil constituents, which is of great importance for identifying compound-rich germplasm.
