Summary: In current industrial production, defective products have become a bottleneck for enterprises to improve product quality. Artificial detection is inferior to machine vision based detection in terms of speed, accuracy, and stability. However, data-driven based supervised recognition algorithms often fail in the presence of unknown defects. This paper proposes a detection model, called Zero-DD, for surface defects of industrial products with zero samples, which achieves high-precision detection by being sensitive to unknown defects.

Summary: Personal mobile sensing applications, empowered by deep learning and Federated Learning, have achieved significant success, yet challenges remain in efficiently generating global models due to user-specificity and environmental influence. To address these challenges, a novel framework named MDLdroid is proposed, which improves model training efficiency by reducing overhead among devices and balancing resources effectively through a ChainSGD-reduce approach and agent-based multi-goal reinforcement learning mechanism.

Summary: The research in anomaly detection lacks a unified definition of what represents an anomalous instance, leading to diverse paradigms in algorithm design and experimentation. Predictive maintenance represents a special case, where anomalies must be prevented to avoid failures. To address these issues, the concept of positive and negative instances has been generalized into intervals for evaluating unsupervised anomaly detection algorithms.
