Nd2O3-Ag Nanostructures for Plasmonic Biosensing, Antimicrobial, and Anticancer Applications

Summary: The green synthesis of nanomaterials with multifaceted applications in photonics and biomedical fields is a difficult challenge. This study demonstrates a 1-minute, user-friendly, and eco-friendly green synthesis of Nd2O3-Ag nanohybrids with synergistic surface functionalities. The nanohybrids possess excellent bactericidal, fungicidal, antioxidant, and anticancer properties, and can be used for food hazard sensing. The proposed methodology has the potential for transdisciplinary nanophotonics and biomedical sensing applications.

Highly Sensitive Plasmonic Sensor with Au Bow Tie Nanoantennas on SiO2 Nanopillar Arrays

In the present sensing device, each gold nanoantenna is positioned on the upper surface of a SiO2 nanopillar that is placed on a quartz substrate. The proposed sensor has a great potential for sensing and detection applications, with a sensitivity of 612 nm/RIU and a figure of merit of 61.

Direct Quantification of Proteins Modified on a Polystyrene Microparticle Surface Based on ζ Potential Change

The detection limits for different proteins were determined.

It utilizes negatively charged nanoparticles that exhibit strong electrostatic repulsion with a negatively charged electrode, resulting in low-intensity ECL signal. In the presence of hyaluronidase, the nanoparticles undergo a decomposition process, leading to the generation of positively charged nanoparticles with enhanced ECL signal through electrostatic attraction. The biosensor shows a linear relationship between ECL and hyaluronidase concentration, with a detection limit of 0.37 U/mL.
