Ultrasensitive tapered optical fiber refractive index glucose sensor

Summary: A highly sensitive refractive index sensor for glucose detection is developed using a tapered optical fiber coated with gold nanoparticles. The sensor shows improved performance compared to a larger-sized tapered optical fiber, with a sensitivity enhancement of nearly 4 times. The fabricated sensor demonstrates ultrasensitive glucose detection with good stability and fast response, showing potential for real-world applications such as disease diagnosis.

Surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy biosensor based on silver nanoparticles@metal-organic frameworks with peroxidase-mimicking activities for ultrasensitive monitoring of blood cholesterol

Summary: In this study, a peroxidase-mimicking nanozyme was prepared by growing silver nanoparticles on the surface of a metal-organic framework. The nanozyme not only served as a surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy substrate, but also effectively catalyzed the oxidation of leucomalachite green into malachite green. The nanozyme was successfully applied for the sensitive detection of cholesterol.

Plasmon-Based Tapered-in-Tapered Fiber Structure for p-Cresol Detection: From Human Healthcare to Aquaculture Application

3D-printed carbon black/polylactic acid electrochemical sensor combined with batch injection analysis: A cost-effective and portable tool for naproxen sensing

Summary: This paper highlights the use of 3D-printed electrodes for the electrochemical detection of naproxen. The electrodes, made with carbon black integrated polylactic acid conductive filament, require simple electrochemical surface treatment to improve their activity. The planar-shaped electrode, incorporated into a 3D-printed Batch-injection analysis cell, exhibits comparable sensing features to more sophisticated sensors. The method demonstrates excellent characteristics including linear range, limit of detection, precision, high analytical frequency, and selectivity. Topotactically constructed nickel-iron (oxy)hydroxide with abundant in-situ produced high-valent iron species for efficient water oxidation

PVP-stabilized PtRu nanozymes with peroxidase-like activity and its application for colorimetric and fluorometric glucose detection
