Testing the heterogeneous effect of air transport intensity on CO2 emissions in G20 countries: An advanced empirical analysis

Yasir Habib et al.

Summary: This study investigates the impact of air transport intensity, air passenger transport, and air freight transport on air transport carbon emissions in G20 countries for the period of 1990-2016. The findings show that the effect of these variables on carbon emissions is heterogeneous across different quantiles, and economic growth, urbanization, and tourism are significant contributors to increasing CO2 emissions, while crude oil price reduces them. The study highlights the need for cleaner and renewable energy sources for air transport operations.

Analysis and Modeling the Energy System of a Chemical Tanker by LEAP

Alperen Sari et al.

Summary: Maritime transportation is a cost-effective option favored among other transport modes, and the increasing global economy has led to a rising demand for it. Ships are crucial in global trade, but also contribute significantly to carbon dioxide emissions and global warming. Improving energy efficiency in ships can reduce greenhouse gas emissions, but efficiency gains have not resulted in net emissions reductions in the transport sector.

Effectiveness evaluation of freight subsidy policy from a broader clean production view-Case study of the Yiwu-Ningbo container freight corridor, China

Lichao Zhu

Summary: This study proposes an evaluation framework based on cost-benefit analysis to comprehensively assess the effectiveness of freight subsidy policies. The effectiveness of the subsidy policy largely depends on the connotations of benefit and cost in the analysis, and the current subsidy policy may be ineffective in certain cases.
