Micro-arc oxidation enhances the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of oil-water separating mesh

Bowen Xue et al.

Summary: Ceramic coatings were prepared on the surface of Al mesh using the micro-arc oxidation (MAO) method, which showed excellent wear resistance and corrosion resistance. The coating had a protective effect on salt spray corrosion and mass loss at high temperature, and improved the wear resistance of the aluminum mesh. After oil heating treatment, the MAO Al mesh maintained oleophilic and hydrophobic properties, making it suitable for oil-water separation. This method has a simple preparation process, low cost, and excellent performance, with wide applications in oil spill cleanup, wastewater treatment, and water purification.

Highly efficient synthesis of high-silica SSZ-13 zeolite by interzeolite transformation of L zeolite at higher temperature

Yuping Li et al.

Summary: High-silica SSZ-13 zeolites were rapidly and efficiently synthesized by interzeolite transformation at higher temperature in the presence of organic SDAs, additional SiO2 and SSZ-13 seeds. The effects of temperature and SDA content on the crystallization process were investigated, revealing that temperature and SDA content can significantly affect the crystallization time, solid yield, crystal size, and acidity of the samples. Under specific conditions, pure SSZ-13 zeolites with high crystallinity can be prepared in a short period of time.
