However, there was a gradual return to pre-pandemic volumes in the later waves, with slower recovery for ablations. Emergency procedures showed recovery during the second wave, with some variations. Remote monitoring was widely implemented during the first wave but needs further implementation.

Device-based remote monitoring strategies for congestion-guided management of patients with heart failure: a systematic review and meta-analysis
