Impact of Soret and Dufour on MHD Casson fluid flow past a stretching surface with convective-diffusive conditions

A. C. Venkata Ramudu et al.

Summary: The study focuses on the impact of magnetohydrodynamic Casson fluid flow across a convective surface with cross diffusion, chemical reaction, and non-linear radiative heat. By converting the governing flow equations into non-dimensional form, the research found that an increase in Sorret number leads to a decrease in temperature and an increase in concentration, while the Dufour number has a negative impact. Additionally, an intensification of the non-linear radiative parameter results in a decrement in Nusselt number and an enhancement in Sherwood number.

The effects of CuO/CeO2 mixture nanoparticles on the performance of a vapor compression refrigeration system

HudaElslam Abdali Mohamed et al.

Summary: This study is based on experimental results and simulations to investigate the application of nanoparticles in refrigeration systems. The experimental preparation of nanoparticles resulted in spherical particles with suitable average diameters, and it was confirmed that they can improve the performance and reduce energy consumption in refrigeration systems. Additionally, an increase in the nanoparticle concentration was found to improve thermophysical properties.

Performance of a domestic refrigerator in varying ambient temperatures, concentrations of TiO2 nanolubricants and R600a refrigerant charges

D. S. Adelekan et al.

Summary: This study found that the performance of a domestic refrigeration system improved with TiO2 nanolubricant at optimal ambient temperature and mass charge conditions, while deteriorated at non-optimal conditions. Energy consumption and evaporator air temperature increased, while coefficient of performance and second law efficiency decreased with non-optimal conditions.

Experimental Investigation on the Performance of Heat Pump Operating with Copper and Alumina Nanofluids

Faizan Ahmed et al.

Summary: This study aimed to enhance the performance of a heat pump by using copper and alumina nanofluids, which resulted in a significant improvement in the coefficient of performance, especially with the highest volume fraction of 5%. The findings suggest that utilizing nanofluids can greatly benefit performance enhancement in thermal systems like heat pumps.
