Cattaneo-Christov heat flux model for stagnation point flow of micropolar nanofluid toward a nonlinear stretching surface with slip effects

Shafiq Ahmad et al.

Summary: The study focuses on the Cattaneo-Christov model with variable thermal relaxation time and entropy generation. It examines a micropolar fluid absorbing heat in the presence of mixed convection and partial slip, with the immersion of single-wall carbon nanotubes and multi-wall carbon nanotubes. The non-dimensional similarity transformation is used to convert the partial differential equations into nonlinear ordinary differential equations, which are then numerically solved using MATLAB's bvp4c.

Radiation-absorption, chemical reaction, Hall and ion slip impacts on magnetohydrodynamic free convective flow over semi-infinite moving absorbent surface

M. Veera Krishna

Summary: This study investigates the impacts of radiation-absorption, chemical reaction, Hall and ion-slip effects on unsteady MHD free convective laminar flow within a rotating frame. Analytical solutions for velocity, temperature, and concentration distributions are obtained, showing that the velocity decreases with certain parameters, while the temperature and concentration are influenced by different parameters.

Radiative MHD flow of Casson hybrid nanofluid over an infinite exponentially accelerated vertical porous surface

M. Veera Krishna et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the radiative unsteady magnetohydrodynamic flow of an incompressible viscous electrically conducting non-Newtonian Casson hybrid nanofluid over an infinite exponentially accelerated vertical moving porous surface in a rotating frame, considering the influence of slip velocity. Results show that the flow velocity increases with an increase in thermal and concentration buoyancy forces, while rotation and slip parameters have opposite effects on it.

Impact of Cattaneo-Christov heat flux on hydromagnetic flow of non-Newtonian fluids filled with Darcy-Forchheimer porous medium

Gnaneswara Reddy Machireddy et al.

Summary: The study numerically investigates the influence of Cattaneo-Christov heat flux on hydromagnetic flow of non-Newtonian fluids filled with Darcy-Forchheimer porous medium, considering thermal radiation, uneven heat source/sink, and variable thermal conductivity. The numerical computations are conducted for Maxwell, Jeffrey, and Oldroyd-B fluid cases, and the effects of various controlling restrictions on the flow and thermal fields are examined. The results include numerical computations for the friction factor and local Nusselt number.

Summary: This study investigates the characteristics of double-diffusive unsteady MHD natural convective rotating flow of micro-polar fluid past a semi-infinite vertical moving porous plate under the influence of thermal radiation, chemical reaction, Hall, and ion slip effects. Various parameters such as Hall and ion slip parameters, viscosity ratio, and chemical reaction parameter have been shown to have significant impacts on velocity, micro-rotation profiles, temperature profiles, and concentrations. The results have practical implications in various engineering applications, including chemical industry, power generation, cooling industry, and bio-medical engineering.

An analysis of Maxwell fluid through a shrinking sheet with thermal slip effect: a Lie group approach

M. N. Tufail et al.

Summary: The study considers two-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic boundary layer flow of an upper-convected Maxwell (UCM) fluid passing through a shrinking sheet, incorporating thermal slip, thermal radiation, and heat source-sink conditions. The Lie scaling group method is employed to transform the governing PDEs into ODEs, which are numerically solved using MATHEMATICA. The influence of Deborah number on the velocity profile, as well as the effects of Hartmann number, mass transfer parameter, Prandtl number, heat source-sink parameter, radiation parameter, and thermal slip parameter on the boundary layer thickness and temperature profile are investigated.
