Computational mass spectrometry accelerates C = C position-resolved untargeted lipidomics using oxygen attachment dissociation

Haruki Uchino et al.

Summary: This study presents an approach for the untargeted lipidomics that can resolve the position of double bonds (C=C) in lipids. By combining oxygen attachment dissociation and computational mass spectrometry, the annotation rate of lipids can be increased. The accuracy of the platform was validated using authentic and biogenic standards, and unique lipid profiles were characterized in human and mice-derived samples.
