Determining the solubilities for benzoate, nicotinate, hydrochloride, and malonate salts of bedaquiline

Mercy A. Okezue et al.

Summary: Determining the solubility of a compound is crucial for predicting its oral bioavailability, selecting dissolution media, and determining solvents for manufacturing processes. This study investigated the solubilities of various salts of bedaquiline and analyzed the reasons for their differences. The results showed that hydrochloride had the highest solubility, while benzoate had the lowest solubility. The new salt forms exhibited improved aqueous solubility compared to the free base.
